Rafael Alvarez's Ninth Annual Highlandtown Literary Extravaganza

This year: Deviled Eggs! An afternoon of fiction and poetry, an art exhibit, and tasty treats, all devoted to the traditional Baltimore delicacy, a year-round holiday favorite.

Featured readers: Ed Aymar, author of the thriller I'll Sleep When You're Dead and a monthly columnist for the Washington Independent Review of Books; celebrated Baltimore food writer Richard Gorelick; Gabrielle Dean from Johns Hopkins University; plus a mystery poet. Rafael Alvarez will read "The Great Deviled Egg" from his new book Crabtown, USA, a collection of essays, memoir and feature stories on Baltimore.
