About this Event
1303 Orleans Street Baltimore, MD 21231
Enjoy the library's Imagination Celebration at the Orleans Street Branch by joining our Tuesday Crafternoons, weekly at 3:30pm during the month of April! The first and final Crafternoons will be kicked off with a quick reading of our selected book for this year's celebration, Mary Had a Little Plan by Tammi Sauer and Vanessa Brantley-Newton.
- Tuesday, April 2 — Mary Had a Little Pinwheel: Get inspired for Imagination Celebration with a reading of Mary Had a Little Plan, then start breathing life into your own garden by coloring in flower-shaped paper pinwheels.
- Tuesday, April 16 — Mary Had a Little Pipe-Creature: Make creatures, real or imaginary, from the garden using pipe-cleaners, fake flowers, beads, and glue.
- Tuesday, April 23 — Mary Had a Little Plant Pet: Transform a tiny ceramic pot into your favorite animal or magical creature, then plant a small living succulent inside! If you attended our Spooky Pet Plants event in October 2023, you may bring back your current Pet Plant to re-pot it in soil.
- Tuesday, April 30 — Mary Had a Paper Bug: Wrap up Imagination Celebration with one final reading of Mary Had a Little Plan. Then, glue squares of tissue paper onto insect stencils to make a fake stained-glass bug buddy for your window.
Please note there will not be a program on April 9, as the library will be closed for a Staff Training Day.
