Join Special Collections in the Poe Room on Halloween to view artifacts, manuscripts, and other materials from the Edgar Allan Poe Collection! Be inspired by one of the masters of scary stories and have the opportunity to craft your own haunting short story or poem! Supplies will be provided.

Three 16mm film print short film adaptations of Edgar Allan Poe’s works will be screened by the Sweet Sixteens Real Cinema Showcase starting at 12 PM. 

• The Tell-Tale Heart (1953) [8 min] Oscar winning animation, narrated by James Mason.
• Fall of the House of Usher (1928) [13 min] An avant-garde take on Poe's classic story of a traveller taking shelter at a household under a mysterious curse.
