A Saturday with Sherlock Holmes: Twenty Rules for Writing a Detective Story

The 40th annual program presented by the Six Napoleons of Baltimore, The Sherlockians of Baltimore, and Watson's Tin Box of Ellicott City -- scions of the Baker Street Irregulars.

This year’s topic is the Twenty Rules for Writing Detective Stories (1928) by S. S. Van  Dine.  Join the discussion about Doyle and his adherence ( or not) to these rules. Bring in some of your other favorite detectives and stories to see how they stack up.  Explore the world of being a literary detective and be introduced to other characters and authors with whom you might not be familiar.

Had a wonderful time hanging out with all sorts of different people, had many amazing speakers speak about S.S. Van Dine's 20 rules on writing detective stories. I even managed to stump the panel with a hard question lol.
