After School Crafts: AAPI Heritage Month

Celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month with crafts inspired by the Philippines. 

Week 1: Create a sarimanok, a legendary bird of the Maranao people, out of paper!
Week 2: Make a parol, a holiday lantern,  out of tissue paper and contact paper.
Week 3: Paint a carabao (water buffalo) and learn about the animal!
Week 4: Make island art inspired by the thousands of islands of the Philippines. 
Week 5: Make a lantern inspired by the Philippines flag!
