In honor of National Poetry Month, Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle are partnering with DewMore Baltimore to host the David vs Goliath Slam. DewMore Baltimore is the foremost spoken word organization in the state of Maryland using art as a tool to increase civic engagement in marginalized communities throughout Greater Baltimore. Over the past 5 years DewMore staff and participants have brought home some of the highest accolades in spoken word nationally and internationally making Baltimore a hotbed for literary performance art. Join us to witness a head to head battle of DewMore Baltimore's Citywide Youth Poetry Team against DewMore's adult poetry team: Slammageddon.

Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle (LBS) is a grassroots think-tank which advances the public policy interest of Black people, in Baltimore, through: youth leadership development, political advocacy, and autonomous intellectual innovation.

Free, no registration required. Seating is first come, first serve. Please note that marking interest does not reserve a seat.

Re-opening activities are made possible in part by a generous gift from Sandra R. Berman.
