Join us for a special Hispanic Heritage Month celebration featuring Capoeira Angola, an Afro-Brazilian art form that blends music, movement, history, and community. Rooted in African traditions and developed in Brazil, Capoeira carries deep cultural connections to both the African diaspora and Latin America, making it a powerful expression of resilience, creativity, and unity.

This interactive workshop will be led by instructors from the Capoeira Social Project, who will share the history and cultural significance of Capoeira, demonstrate traditional instruments and songs in Portuguese, and invite participants of all ages and backgrounds to experience the beauty of its movements. With multiple capoeiristas present, the program will highlight the spirit of community and representation, reflecting the diverse cultural identities of Baltimore—especially honoring the vibrant Latinx community of the Southeast.

Come ready to listen, learn, and join in this dynamic celebration where heritage, art, and community come together in motion and music.
