Celebrating NASA’s Webb Space Telescope First Year of Science

This July, NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope celebrates its first anniversary of sharing science images and data with the world. On July 14 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Webb experts will host this event at the Enoch Pratt Free Library where people of all ages can learn about the telescope and how it studies the universe with its infrared eyes.
Webb experts will highlight the most exciting science discoveries from Webb over the past year and what it means to work on this amazing telescope. There will be talks about Webb, a Webb Virtual Reality experience, hands-on activities for children, and educational giveaway items.
This free event is open to the public and will be supported by the Space Telescope Science Institute and NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. Talks and activities will be held in multiple rooms throughout the Pratt Library.
