Central Library Grand Reopening

Celebrate the Central Library Grand Reopening with a Block Party & Open House! Check out the fresh spaces and enjoy activities, authors, musicians, performers, storytelling, and slam poetry all day. Participate in the Virtual Tour throughout the library.

Outdoor Stage: BLYSS Step Team,  Olu Butterfly Woods, Slangston Hughes, Ribbon cutting, Old Bay Brass, Ryan Institute Step Team,Line Dancing by Lisa Luv Cinnamon, Kondwani Fidel, Conjunto Bruja, Bellydancing with Moonira and food trucks.

Elizabeth K. Moser Central Hall: A1 Chops, Tattered Hatters, face painting,  Dance and Bmore,  and prize drawings.

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Children's Learning CenterBlack Cherry Puppet Theater performance, Adam Gidwitz, National Aquarium, crafts, and more activities!

France-Merrick Creative Arts Center123 Andrés!, jazz with Contemporary Arts Inc.,  Morgan State Choir.

2nd Floor: Maryland Historical Society, Walters Art Museum and Peter Quinn

Wheeler Auditorium: Griots Circle of Maryland, Laura Lippman, Sujata Massey, D. Watkins, Kondwani Fidel, and Chris Wilson.

Earl Center for Teen Learning and Leadership: OpenWorks, Future Makers, Media Rythm Institute,  Wide Angle, The Ryan Institute,  game systems, recording studio, DJ, Temporary Tattoos, Caricatures and more.

Poe Room: Nico Sarbanes performing smooth jazz all day.
