Local poet favorite Jha'Neal Blue will help kids explore themselves and the beauty of their lives in this special program. Her mission is to allow children to get comfortable sharing themselves and their stories in front of an audience.
Jha'Neal is an actress, spoken word artist and educator in the greater Baltimore area. She is the head coach of the Baltimore City Youth Poetry Team (BCYPT) and is a proud member of the original team that went on to win the International Brave New Voices Competition.
This indoor program has limited spaces and pre-registration is recommended. To register, please call the Southeast Anchor Library at (410) 396-1580. Walk-ins are also accepted until the program reaches maximum capacity.

Following this program, participants are invited to join us for a fun virtual showcase on May 3rd at 3:30pm. Participants from the Edmondson Avenue, Hamilton, and Pennsylvania Avenue branches will gather virtually to strut their stuff, share the poems they've written, receive helpful feedback and much applause from each other (and the instructors) and learn about opportunities to continue developing as writers and performers!
