Celebrate Black Music Month in the Special Collections Department at Central Library. Visitors can walk in every Friday in June from 1-4pm and explore over 130 original pieces of sheet music dating from 1835-1944, including songs from minstrelsy in the 1850s through the show tunes of the 1930s and ‘40s. Visitors are encouraged to bring a smart phone or usb drive to take home digital copies of pre-1929 public domain works.
