Hand-Frayed Fabric Flowers

Please note: The Artesana activities that will be taking place at the Patterson Park branch and the Southeast Anchor branch have switched from the postings in Compass. The dates and times have stayed the same, but "Fabric Flowers" will now be at Southeast Anchor and "Pinata Making" will be at Patterson Park. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Join the Artesanas, an award-winning and 2017 Best of Baltimore folkloric group of talented women at the Creative Alliance, to learn how to make a traditional hand-frayed fabric flower. A fine craft by the women from Aguascalientes, Mexico, hand-frayed fabric flowers have become part of the State Cultural Heritage.
