About this Event
158 N. Linwood Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224
Enjoy Baltimore's Patterson Park through the eyes of an urban forager, exploring the city's many wild edibles with retired Entomologist and Natural History Society of Maryland teacher Nick Spero. Nick will lead us on a walk through the Park, answering questions and introducing plants as the group encounters them. Nick is a wealth of knowledge, and an expert on all kinds of plant foods. He also loves to hunt and fish, and primitive technology has piqued his interest since he was a child. Learn more about Nick's philosophy and approach in a video produced by NPR.
This program will begin at the Patterson Park Branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library. Please account for parking and transit time and arrive as close to the 10am start time as possible as we will be departing as a group on our walk through the Park. Please wear comfortable shoes in case of muddy or bumpy terrain.
Advanced registration is required for this program. Email asmith@prattlibrary.org with any accessibility questions or requests, and we will do our best to plan our route accordingly.
