Genealogy Circle Meeting -- Religious Sources: Denomination, Records, and Methodology

U.S. religious records can provide genealogically significant information, but locating them and effectively using them can be a challenge. Join us as Debra Hoffman, professional genealogist and Maryland research specialist, covers the records, denominations, and methodology required to research them.

Ms. Hoffman is also owner of Hoffman Genealogical Services, and was the coordinator of the Maryland course at Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy in 2020. She has a certificate in Family History from Brigham Young University and a Professional Learning Certificate in Genealogical Studies (PLCGS)-German Records. She is the co-author of the National Genealogical Society’s latest Research in the States Series: Maryland, released in August 2021. She currently serves as an At-Large Board Member of the Maryland Genealogical Society, is the Recording Secretary for the Mid-Atlantic Germanic Society and is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists.
