The Stoop Storytelling Series is a Baltimore-based live show and podcast that features “ordinary” people sharing the extraordinary, true tales of their lives. During this special event, refugees and advocates in the field will break down stereotypes and show our deepest connection: humanity.
Presented in Partnership with Johns Hopkins Center for Humanitarian Health/Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Enoch Pratt Free Library.
With over one billion people on the move, migration is a global reality. The numbers of people fleeing their countries for fear of persecution and insecurity are at their highest levels ever recorded. This large scale movement has bred suspicion, misconceptions and anti-migrant/anti-refugee sentiment in the US and abroad. It is time for all of us to hear refugees’ and migrants’ stories in their own words as well as from the Hopkins faculty who work with them.
