Literary icon and activist James Baldwin would have been 100 years old this year. While he is no longer with us, his work and his voice are still very present thanks in large part to his family. The program will begin with a tour of the James Baldwin Exhibit in the Annex at 5:00 PM. Then join Trevor Baldwin, James Baldwin’s nephew and founder of the Baldwin United Fund, and Lionel Foster, founder of the Baldwin Prize at Baltimore City College High School, for a conversation about furthering the legacy of Black heroes at 6:00 PM in the Creative Arts Center.
