Freedom Deferred & No Longer Denied: A Juneteenth Story

WombWork Productions and Enoch Pratt Free Library invites you to join the Nu World Art Ensemble on a journey through the genesis of the Juneteenth holiday, the heroes and sheroes of emancipation during a war-torn 19th century United States, and the connections between the past and today’s ongoing fight for racial justice and liberation in a still divided American republic.

This will be an in person, via zoom and livestreamed to the Enoch Pratt Facebook page. If you are interested in seeing the performance live at the Central Library you can register here. Space is limited.
