Mama Deborah & David Fakunle

Join us for the 2015 Imagination Celebration honoring the co-founder of the National Association of Black Storytellers, Inc. Mother Mary Carter Smith: "Remember me as I am...heart to heart." Live, engaging stories from two of the region's talented storytellers.

Mama Deborah is Griot-in-Residence at the National Great Blacks In Wax Museum, Inc. She shares inspiring, motivational and creative programming with the young and young at heart.

David Olawuyi Fakunle became a Growing Griot at age ten under the mentorship of Mother Mary Carter Smith. Blending his African percussionist training with stories, songs, and movements, David brings the African oral tradition to life.
