October is peak apple season in Maryland, with orchardists around the state growing more than 20 different apple varieties. Join Maryland's Best at the Central Library for a family-friendly afternoon:

2-3:30pm: Join us in the Central library's first floor Workshop for apple crafting and samples of Maryland apples, cider donuts, and fresh apple cider.

3:30-4:30pm: local Master Gardeners from Filbert Street Garden will be sharing ways to preserve seasonal crops such as apples to make them last all year. This demonstration will also be held in the Workshop.
