When Adamson Henry's family strands him in America during his final semester of high school, he must navigate a strange land. A young Englishman, Adamson faces dating, a cross-country adventure, Woodstock, antiwar protests, college, tragedy, and more, all while avoiding the draft. Welcome to Adamson's 1969.

Books will be available for purchase from the author after the program.

Nicole Burton is the author of Swimming Up the Sun: A Memoir of Adoption, also adapted for the stage. Her stage plays include Last Call at the Marble Bar, Fred & Frieda, Dirty Questions, and Starman Wish Me Luck.
