Author and retired firefighter Mark Hannon will provide an early history of the Baltimore City Fire Department. The BCFD protected the city against the terrifying reality of fire that could kill hundreds in crowded theaters and factories and destroy many square miles of the city in a matter of hours. The author recounts the serious challenges the BCFD faced in the first year of the new century.
Mark Hannon is a retired firefighter. In addition to The Fire Laddies, he is the author of the crime novels Every Man for Himself and The Vultures as well as a dozen short stories.
