Honoring the memory, career, and bequest of Henry Louis Mencken, The H.L. Mencken Room and special exhibit is open to the public from 10 am to 5 pm.

2:00 pm, the 2023 Mencken Memorial Lecture (open to the public and livestreaming on the Enoch Pratt Free Library's Facebook or YouTube pages.)
This year's lecture will be delivered by DeWayne Wickham.
Mr. Wickham is the founding dean of the School of Global Journalism & Communication at Morgan State University and currently the public editor of the Baltimore Banner.
Mr. Wickham has previously worked at the Baltimore Sun, U.S. News & World Report, Black Enterprise magazine, CBS News, BET News and USA TODAY, where he wrote a nationally-syndicated opinion column for 30 years.
Free parking vouchers are available to program attendees who part at the Franklin Street Garage (15 W. Franklin Street). Ask Pratt event staff for your parking voucher prior to or after the program.
