About this Event
606 Cherry Hill Road, Baltimore, MD 21225
Did you know that Baltimore is where railroading began in the United States? What about the fact that the first telegraph message received in the country was sent right here to Baltimore? In celebration of Maryland 250 and National “Train Day”, the B&O Railroad Museum will share all about the B&O Railroads connection to the telegraph, and how Samuel Morse’s invention revolutionized communication! In a hands-on workshop, kids and families will learn about the history of the telegraph and will learn how to decode and communicate with morse code by creating their very own take-home bracelet!
