DESCRIPTION:This program is virtual\, zoom information will be sent to regi
 strants. \n\nJoin 2025-2026 Hackerman Writer in Residence poet Taylor Johns
 on for the sixth in a monthly poetry-writing workshop series. From October 
 through May\, we'll meet for two hours on the third Saturday of every month
  except December\, when we’ll meet on the first Saturday of the month.\n\n 
 \n\nRegistration is required\, and all spots are currently filled. To join

 l Library\n\n \n\nAbout the Workshop Facilitator:\nTaylor Johnson is from W
 ashington\, DC. He is the author of Inheritance (Alice James Books\, 2020)\
 , winner of the 2021 Norma Farber First Book Award from the Poetry Society 
 of America and a 2024 Whiting Award. His work appears in Poetry Magazine\, 
 The Paris Review\, The Baffler\, Scalawag\, and elsewhere. Johnson is a Cav
 e Canem graduate fellow and a recipient of the 2017 Larry Neal Writers’ Awa
 rd from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities\, and the 2021 Judith 
 A. Markowitz Award for Emerging Writers from Lambda Literary. Taylor was th
 e inaugural 2022 Poet-in-Residence at the Guggenheim Museum. He was the Poe
 t Laureate of Takoma Park\, Maryland\, from 2022 to 2025.\n \n\nPhoto of Ta
