Pratt Test Kitchen Community Feature: Trudee Wooden

Join us for a conversation with a Baltimore community innovator in the food justice space. This month’s feature is Trudee Wooden, Garden Manager at Patterson Park. Hosted by Northwood Branch manager, Kinshasa Vargas-Pile.

Trudee Wooden, a Johns Hopkins employee is a Baltimore City native and has been a gardener and garden representative for the Patterson Park Community Garden for 4 years. Having grown up in an urban environment, she did not have gardening experience prior to joining but learned a little more each year. Trudee is passionate about eliminating food deserts in Baltimore and supporting initiatives to educate and provide access to real foods in Baltimore neighborhoods. This year she is growing tomatoes, eggplants, spaghetti squash and garlic.

The conversation will also be broadcast on the Enoch Pratt Free Library Facebook pageYouTube page, Twitch page, and Twitter. It can be watched after the broadcast on Facebook Live and YouTube.
