Host Rob Lee is thrilled to partner with Pratt Library for a four-part Black Cinema Series at Pratt Library from March through June 2023.  Join Rob for a night of trivia and conversation as he breaks down movies connected to Black history, culture, music and cinema. Tonight's final presentation is Spike Lee's He Got Game (1998, 136 minutes; rated R). Denzel Washington stars as Jake Shuttlesworth, an incarcerated man whose son Jesus (NBA star Ray Allen) is the nation’s top basketball prospect. The state governor makes Jake an offer: He'll release him for a week, and if he can talk his son into signing a letter of intent to attend Big State University, the governor will reduce Jake's sentence. The stellar cast also includes Milla Jovovich, Rosario Dawson, Hill Harper, Ned Beatty and Jim Brown.
