This free beginner songwriting course will be in two parts, on March 7 and April 4, 2026. The program will be led by father / daughter songwriting duo Harry Offutt and Phoenix Hoppe.

It is designed for adults who have a basic musical knowledge and a strong interest in songwriting.

The session on March 7 will introduces essential concepts like song structure, hooks, melody, prosody, and cultural relevance, giving you a clear framework to start writing. Between sessions, participants may write and submit a song.

April 4's session will explore advanced techniques such as co-writing, pitching, and recording, and includes feedback on a few selected submissions.
