Prince. Visionary, multi-instrumentalist and extraordinary showman. One of the most influential and inspiring pop superstars of the 20th century.

Now, Prince: Black, White, Color reveals the artist as he’s never been seen before thanks to a unique and exclusive set of photographs, many published here for the first time, all captured by Prince’s own trusted art director – award-winning photographer Steve Parke.

These intimate photos allow readers an extremely rare glimpse of Prince at Paisley Park, at his sun-drenched house in Marbella, and at work in the studio, posing for portraits as well as moments of quiet tenderness with his first wife Mayte Garcia and their beloved dog Mia.

With over 250 images, this stunning volume marks the 10th anniversary of Prince’s passing by showing a side of him that was seldom if ever publicised during his lifetime.

About the Moderator:

Mayte Garcia is a world-renowned dancer, choreographer, actress, singer, animal advocate, and internationally best-selling author. Born in Alabama to Puerto Rican parents, Mayte’s passion for dance began at just three years old, inspired by her mother, a professional belly dancer. By the age of eight, she had already made history as the world’s youngest professional belly dancer, a milestone recognized on the television show “That’s Incredible”.

Her extraordinary talent led her to work with some of the biggest names in the industry, but it was her time dancing alongside Prince that became one of the most defining aspects of her career. As the first female solo dancer in The New Power Generation, Mayte performed on legendary tours, choreographed iconic routines, and became an integral part of Prince’s artistic vision.

Beyond her performing career, Mayte is deeply committed to philanthropy and animal welfare. In 1996, she co-founded Live 4 Love Charities in memory of their son, Amiir, alongside Prince. The foundation continues his philanthropic legacy by supporting programs that uplift and strengthen communities worldwide. Additionally, Mayte’s love for animals led her to establish Mayte’s Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating dogs in need.
