Join us in the Make Space for a 2-hour, hands-on workshop where you’ll dive into the world of visible and invisible mending. During this time, Natasha will be available to support you and provide guidance as you learn time-honored techniques, and build your confidence to tackle any repair project with style. Whether you’re patching denim, darning knits, or reviving old favorites, this class will help you choose the perfect method for your piece and have fun doing it. All experience levels are welcomed!

What to bring: 1-3 fabric items from your home or closet that need mending. You're welcome to bring mending supplies from home, but supplies will also be available in the Make Space.

About the Teacher: Natasha Ibrahim is the owner of The Local Stitch, a Baltimore-based small business specializing in fiber arts materials, natural dyeing, weaving, and mending. A lifelong maker, Natasha began exploring fiber arts as a child when her grandmother first taught her to crochet as a child. Her deep love for sewing, mending, and fiber arts has grown ever since. As an educator, she works to integrate contemplative practices into her classes, inviting students to experience the restorative and mindful nature of fiber arts.

This program is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
