Saturday, February 17, 2024 2pm to 3:30pm
About this Event
4330 Edmondson Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21229
Griots are storytellers, historians, poets, and musicians. Originating in West Africa, griots have played an important role in history; a role that continues to this day! Come to the library to learn more about this amazing profession and tradition.
During this program, you will also have the chance to make your own set of story stones! Story stones are painted stones that we can use to tell our own stories. Through play and conversation, all ages can practice the important art of storytelling.
This program has limited spaces and pre-registration is recommended. To register, please call the Edmondson Avenue Branch at (410) 396‑0946.
