About this Event
1317 Filbert Street Baltimore, MD 21226
Vermicomposting, or worm composting, turns kitchen scraps and other organic waste into a rich, dark soil that is a major source of nutrients for plants. Join Filbert Street Garden at the Enoch Pratt Free Library to learn everything you need to know about starting and maintaining your own worm bin and see an established bin in action. When done correctly, this form of composting does not smell and is very apartment friendly, making it a great way to sustainably level-up your gardening while space is limited.
This program is part of a series collaboration between Filbert Street Garden and Enoch Pratt Free Library. This session will take place at the garden: 1321 Filbert St, Baltimore, MD 21226. Free street parking is available. Please email asmith@prattlibrary.org with any accessibility questions or concerns.
Space is limited and registration is required. A second session will also take place at the Central Library branch on August 10.
