Vote! Objects from the Maryland Department's Political Literature Collection
About this Event
400 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, MD 21201
This exhibit showcases the rich collection of political literature from the Pratt Library's Maryland Department. Many of the items, ranging from the 1840s through the present, echo contemporary politics. View accusations of election fraud dating back to 1848, anti-immigrant political literature from the 1850s, and nativist handbills from the first part of the twentieth century. The exhibit also tracks the realignment of the Democratic and Republican parties in Maryland around issues of race.
