About this Event
The Walters Art Museum is excited to offer free art kits to Baltimore City and Baltimore County families. Inside, you will find activity packets in English and Spanish featuring works of art from the Walters’ collection, scavenger hunts, coloring sheets, art-making instructions, and supplies. Activities are recommended for children ages 6-11, but fun for the whole family!
The activity packets included in this art kit explore the theme of Art & Migration and the ways that art can tell stories of movement and travel:
Bring-Along Brooch
Learn about objects that are both functional and decorative, and create a special pin to wear to a new destination.
Journey Records
Explore how art depicts both emotional and physical journeys, chart your emotions, and create a triptych that illustrates a personal journey.
From March 29 to April 9, call any Enoch Pratt Free Library location to request your kit and schedule a time to pick it up. Kits are available on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.
