Jocelyn Nicole Johnson’s debut work of fiction received critical and popular acclaim when it was released last year.  She will join us to discuss the book’s five short stories and its title novella, all of which contend with race in America.

Jocelyn Nicole Johnson’s debut book, My Monticello, was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction, National Book Critics Circle John Leonard Prize, and the Kirkus Prize.   She is a veteran public school art teacher, who lives and writes in Charlottesville, Virginia.
