Writers LIVE! Ambassador Kenneth Hackett

Ambassador Kenneth Hackett will reflect on his tenure as the U.S. ambassador to the Vatican (2013-2017).   The author will discuss the inner workings of American diplomacy, the day-to-day duties of the position, and the relationship between the U.S. Embassy and the Vatican. 

Kenneth Hackett is the former United States Ambassador to the Vatican.  He was nominated for the post by President Obama in 2013 and served until 2017.   Prior to his ambassadorship he was president of Catholic Relief Services, a global humanitarian organization.

  • Free parking vouchers are available to program attendees who park at the Franklin Street Garage (15 W. Franklin Street) after 4pm.  Ask Pratt event staff for your parking voucher prior to or after the program.
