Writers LIVE! Dora Malech & Laura Smith

Poets and professors Dora Malech and Laura Smith will present a collection of sonnets from American poets that are accompanied by critical essays that examine the poetic form, traditionally defined by fourteen lines in iambic pentameter.

Dora Malech is the author of several books of poetry, including her most recent Flourish.  She is a professor in The Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University.

Laura Smith is a professor and chair of the English department at Stevenson University. 

  • This FREE event will be presented in-person and virtually.   
  • To attend in person we strongly encourage you to register here. 
  • Free parking vouchers are available to program attendees who park at the Franklin Street Garage (15 W. Franklin Street) after 4pm.  Ask Pratt event staff for your parking voucher prior to or after the program.
