Writers LIVE! Mark Bowden

Bestselling author Mark Bowden (Black Hawk Down) will report on the 2016 FBI investigation that resulted in the arrest of gang leader Montana Barronette in Baltimore’s Sandtown neighborhood.  The author, given access to FBI case files and interviews with Barronette’s family and neighbors, provides a detailed account of the gang leader’s life.   Mark Bowden will be joined in conversation by Baltimore Banner investigative reporter Justin Fenton. 

Mark Bowden is the bestselling author of several books, including Black Hawk Down.  He is also a journalist, who formerly wrote for the Philadelphia Inquirer and currently contributes to the Atlantic magazine. 

Justin Fenton is an investigative reporter for the Baltimore Banner. He is the author of We Own This City: A True Story of Crime, Cops and Corruption that was recently adapted into an HBO miniseries.
