Join us for an evening with Mecca Jamilah Sulllivan to celebrate the release of her debut novel Big Girl. The book tells the story of Malaya, a young Black woman on the cusp of adulthood in Harlem during the 1990s.
Mecca Jamilah Sullivan is the author of two prior books, which includes the short story collection Blue Talk and Love, winner of the 2018 Judith Markowitz Award for Emerging LGBTQ Writers. She is an associate professor of English at Georgetown University.
ASL interpretation will be available for attendees.
